Dimensions:  Saucer Approx. 5.75 Inches wide. Dish approx 10 inches wide.
Condition:     Excellent condition. Minute wear, regilding.

 

DESCRIPTION

Chamberlains Worcester porcelain cup, saucer & dish. Crested and emblazoned with the Bishop's Mitre & arms of WILLIAM HOWLEY Bishop of London (1766-1848) later ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY. 

 

 

Bishop of London in the Diocese of Canterbury, Blason:

Gules two swords in saltire points uppermost argent hilts and pommels or.

Blason for Howley: Azure, an eagle displayed erminois, on the breast a plain cross gules.
