DESCRIPTION

 Here is a large Chinese armorial platter from 1760, the Georgian or Chinese Qianlong period. Beautiful painted arms of a "wolf salient" and the crest of a beaver. How apt to have a wolf when you name is Howell. Perfect for any discerning collection. Satisfaction guaranteed. Don't miss this delightful rare plate!.  James Howell 1594-1666 was an Anglo-Welsh historian and writer who travelled widely.
