DESCRIPTION

 

  Here is a superb armorial crest plate made for the PRITCHARD family of SHROPSHIRE, England. Stylish grey ground with gold highlights almost in a tartan pattern. Perfect for any discerning collection. Don't miss this rare opportunity.

  Crest: "A dragons head erased argent, holding in the mouth an escallop sable, the neck charged with two buckles in fesse betweeen as many barrulets azure ". Architect Thomas Pritchard designed the Iron Bridge, first in the world, constructed 1777. John Pritchard, J.P and banker 1797-1891, inherited several estates from his brother, Broseley Hall and Stanmore Hall. A close friend was architect John Ruskin whio visited him at Broseley.
