Condition:      Perfect condition.  Minute wear.

 

DESCRIPTION

A superb and rare pair of Paris armorial porcelain plates. They bear the arms of a French Baron. Beautifully hand painted arms with wolf supporters. Garden flowers fill the central well. The arms (without the crown)  are used by the village of Creon D'Armagnac in South West France and probably relate to local noble families.

 

Écartelé: aux 1er et 4e d'argent au loup ravissant de gueules, au 2e losangé d'argent et de gueules, au 3e d'argent à six coquilles trois de sinople rangées en cher et trois d'azur rangées en, pointe.
