Admiral Alexander Hood (brother of the famous Admiral Samuel Hood) was made 
BARON BRIDEPORT.  A descendant, General Alexander Hood (1814-1904) became 
4th Duke of Bronte. a title he inherited from his Great Uncle, Admiral Nelson.
