A fine pair of Paris porcelain plates. On  a deep cobalt blue ground with scalloped rims. Central crest and belt with motto " fide non fraude". Probably PHILIPSON or PHILLIPSON.  Of Norman origin, the family settled in Berwickshire and Westmoreland in the United Kingdom.
