DESCRIPTION

 Here is a superb PAIR of Paris Porcelain plates. They are beautifully hand painted and decorated with the arms of the GIRAUD de Forez family CHATEAU MINJOUD. Perfect for any discerning collection.

Gaspar Giraud purchased the Chateau/ fortress Chateau Minjoux in 1824, It is in the village of Saint Pierre D'Albigny in the Savoie region of France. Not far from Lake Annecy in this beautiful Alpine district close to the Swiss border. The chateau has fine painted ceilings and has been visited by the Kings of France over the centuries.(Note floor tile pattern in interior picture. This is the same as the "gironne huit pieces d'argent d'azur" in their arms).
