A superb porcelain plate, hand painted with  the 'Most Exalted Star of India'.
This order of Chivalry was instigated by Queen Victoria in 1861 to honor Indian Princes and Chiefs.
Viceroys and othe high officials. Those who had served in the Secretary of State for India for 
over 30 years were also eligible.
