President of Ghana Armorial Plate
A superb armorial plate, made for the President of Ghana, the Queen's visit in the 1957.
President Dr Kwame Nkrumah was impressed with this service and ordered that it was to be kept in special cabinets in Christainburg Castle and not used until the Queen's visit. The visit was rescheduled and took place in 1961, the Queen staying at the castle.
The castle was the former home of the Governor General, before Ghana became independent in 1957.
Royal Crown Derby porcelain.
Measures approx 10 Inches wide.
