Russian Imperial Plate Grand Duchess Xenia ( Sister Tsar Nicholas II)
A fine Imperial porcelain plate, made for Grand Duchess Xenia ( Ксения) Alexandrovna of Russia (1875-1960).
The monogram probably shows her initial "K" reversed, with her husbands "A" for Alexander in the middle. Her father was Tsar Alexander III of Russia,
when he passed away, her brother became the last Tsar Nicholas II.
She was the mother in law of Prince Felix Yusopov who killed Rasputin.
One of the few Romanoff survivors of the Revolution, she fled Russia in 1917 and lived in
exile in England. Alexis Romanoff, her great grandson is now head of the Romanoff family.
Excellent condition. Minute retouching to enamel.
